The First Day of My New Adventure..
..WHOA! Totally overwhelming!
Blanca, my other half in the office, thought I was starting 2 weeks ago…whoops! Apparently, she only found out today that my background check delayed my start date; nothing bad, just a slow response time. Anyway, after I completed an hours worth of paperwork, another half hour of going over stuff with my new boss, Blanca and I start my training process. I met so many new people today, co-workers as well as patients. A few of them had strong handshakes and then there were many with that limp-sorry-ass shake where you did the shaking and they just laid their hand in yours..WTF..and in my head all I could think was womp womp wommmmp. I naturally thought of Chelseas’ post about handshakes and giggled on the inside because it just made my confidence shoot up another notch..HA, I LOVE it!! I even got “wow, impressive handshake” from the Regional Manager ..( he came in for a last minute meeting today - no one was really expecting him, so, um, yah! ..go Missy get your groove on..) Can’t wait ‘til tomorrow…more to learn!
It feels so good to be back in the working world again! ^__^
