Pet peeve: handshakes.
I think it’s kinda pathetic when my handshake is stronger than yours, boys & girls ( ESPECIALLY BOYS ). Let me tell you now that I can tell a lot about a person through a simple gesture, like a handshake. Don’t stick your hand out & just let it lay in mine, like a dead fish. Please, that’s so embarrassing ! Be firm. You know what that shows me ? I have the upper hand. That’s how it’s gonna be too. So don’t go complaining about me seeming like a bitch when you meet me & I look at you that way. Sorry to say, but you made me boss when you decided to put me in control. C’mon, man ! It’s a first impression, make that shit count.
Also, don’t be rude. When we first meet, it’s an automatic gesture for me. I WILL stick my hand out & you WILL shake it. I don’t care who you are, it’s common courtesy to do so. People with manners know what this means. Don’t think you’re embarrassing me by NOT shaking my hand. Please. You think I’m amused ? If anything, you’re embarrassing yourself. Get that shit outta here !
Girl, you are SO RIGHT about this one!!!! I extend my hand when meeting new people all the fricking time because it’s me and my nature. I appreciate it when those do reciprocate but only to lay their limp hand in mine.. WTF!! And you end up being the one to shake both, huh? I don’t get it! But what I do get is that it makes me the dominant one doesn’t it?!?! And what makes me laugh is seeing those limp hands shake the hurt off because my grip is that confident!
